All patients are required to register with our new patient portal MYLE to continue care.

Summary

We have a new EMR, we require all patients to register with us in order to continue booking appointments with us.

  • If you are over 18, please register now, you will not be able to book appts after October 12 th otherwise.

  • If you have children under 18 years old, we will register and link their charts to the parents once you have registered yourself, please have patience for this process, in the meantime book an appt for a registered parent and indicate in the reason for visit it is for your child.

You will not be able to use our online booking system between October 12 and 17 th while it is being transferred over. For urgent needs only - please email the clinic for an urgent appointment.

Background

We have an exciting change taking place! We are transitioning to a new Electronic Medical Record (“EMR”): MYLE EMR by Medfar Clinical Solutions. Our new EMR program will streamline how we deliver care and we believe it will vastly improve our patient experience. This will be a steep learning curve for all of us at South Hill and all our patients!

We will be retiring our current EMR program on October 12, 2023. Your current medical records will be securely transferred to the new MYLE EMR.

The current online appointment booking site will be deactivated on October 12, 2023.  Appointments booked prior to this date will be transferred into our new booking system. Nothing will change about appointments already booked.

From Friday, October 12 to Tuesday, October 17, 2023, we will be transitioning to MYLE EMR. There will be NO ONLINE BOOKING ACCESS between these dates.

You must register with myle to continue booking appointments as a patient at south hill

  • If you are 18 years old and over you must create a new account in MYLE’s Patient Portal, you may do so here: https://shhc.portal.medfarsolutions.com

  • If you have family members under 18 years old, South Hill must link them as patients to a parent’s chart before you can book appointments for them online. Once we have linked them you will be able to book appointments for them under their own name.

To help manage the EMR transition, our appointment availability will be greatly reduced between October 16 – 27, while we get trained and familiarized with MYLE.

We are still here for you during this period and we do not want you to delay necessary care! If you can delay an appointment, please consider doing so. For non-urgent needs (i.e. complete physicals, routine follow-up, prescription renewals), please consider booking before Oct 15 or after Oct 27, 2023. This will allow us to care for those with more chronic/time-sensitive needs.

MYLE has its own appointment booking and communication site, called the MYLE Patient Portal which will allow you to book appointments in addition to some new features; you will be able to receive messages from us, upload documents, receive documents and view some of your health records. We anticipate this will be a fantastic upgrade and improve our communication with you.

Please open your MYLE EMR account as soon as possible, especially if you have dependents. We’ll be sending you more information regarding MYLE’s Patient Portal and capabilities in the near future.

Our EMR is integral to providing care, so we request your patience as we all adapt to this new platform. Our EMR launch team is working hard to minimize disruption and we are confident that MYLE will enhance your experience at South Hill Health Centre. We ask for your patience and remind you to remain courteous in your interactions with the clinic's employees, especially our front desk staff who are often the first to manage any questions you may have during this transition.
