Do you ever wish your child came with an owner's manual? Have you ever felt overwhelmed, frustrated, or confused about how to manage your child’s behaviour or communication? Join our 8-week parenting/caregivers program and learn to recognize your child’s individual needs.
Circle of Security Parenting Group is an internationally recognized, evidence-based attachment parenting program to support parents/caregivers in obtaining a deeper understanding of themselves and their children. The 8-week curriculum provides parents/caregivers with a visual map of their child’s emotional needs. Based on decades of research, Circle of Security will teach you how to better understand your child's emotional needs, support their ability to successfully manage their emotions, and enhance the development of their self-esteem.
The Five Key Points of Circle of Security
Acknowledge your own expertise and wisdom.
Children do best in situations where they feel safe and emotionally connected.
Every child is different and will have their own unique needs.
Be consistent in your responses, this will help build the child's sense of security.
Reach out for support if you need it.
This program is open to all parents/caregivers of children between the ages of 6 months to 6 years of age. Participants must be able to commit to all 8 sessions. This is not a drop-in group.

This group runs on 8 consecutive Monday evenings for two hours from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All sessions are facilitated online, via a secure Zoom video link.
There is no cost for all 8 sessions of Circle of Security Parenting Group as long as you have active BC MSP. However, if you did find the sessions helpful and would like to donate to the Vancouver Community Birth Foundation you can learn more here: /about-us/foundation-and-community-work
Our next class starts: February 26, 2024 (Monday for 8 sessions) 7-9pm (no groups on stat holidays).
(you must attend all 8 classes as the content is structured to add on to the previous class content).

Please fill out the form below to add your name to our current registration/waitlist. These groups are held throughout the year. In order to be eligible, you need to be able to converse and read English and have an active Government Health Care Care.
